Spicy Southwest BBQ Sauce
6 cloves garlic
2 cups ketchup
2 stalks celery
1 cup
water
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or
margarine
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3 tbsp
chili powder
2 tsp instant coffee granules
2 tsp dried crushed red
pepper
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp ground cloves
Bake garlic in a small
baking pan at 350 degrees F for 20 to 30
minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool and peel.
Combine garlic and remaining ingredients in a saucepan.
Simmer for
20 minutes. Cool.
Process mixture in a blender until
smooth. Makes about 4 cups.
