caramel oatmeal bars

You Need
1 pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Caramels
1/3 cup milk
2 cups flour
2 cups old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup cold butter, cut up
1 pkg. (8 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted
1 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts


Make ItHEAT oven to 350ºF.

LINE 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Cook caramels and milk in saucepan on low heat 10 to 15 min. or until sauce is smooth, stirring frequently.

MIX next 5 ingredients in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until crumbly; press 3 cups onto bottom of prepared pan. Bake 10 min. Spread chocolate over crust; top with nuts, caramel sauce and remaining crumb mixture.

BAKE 25 min. or until golden brown. Cool completely. Use foil handles to lift dessert from pan before cutting into bars. Refrigerate 3 hours or until chilled.

  1. I would love for you to post photos of these recipes when you make them. I imagine you don't make ALL of your recipes all the time, but when/if you make them, you should post the photo with the recipe... You garnish things well and i love the photos you take so i say... COMBINE THOSE TALENTS!
